Total Immersion Program

ITALIAN IMMERSION PROGRAM LANGUAGE AND HOMESTAY 

This program consists of three intensive weeks of intensive language study and accommodation with an Italian family. The following is included:

36 classroom hours of language instruction.

9 hours of required lectures on Italian culture, history and current events, cinema, etc.

9 hours of required time in the Italian language and media laboratory.

Opportunity to participate in over 36 hours of cultural and sporting activities. 

One 2-hour cooking/language lab

Accommodation Service (shared and private apartment, Italian Homestay or hotel)

All required textbooks and materials for the successful completion of the course. (Textbooks and dictionary) to be returned at the end of term. 

Volunteer opportunities – up to 20 hours per week**.

Gym membership for the duration of the course.

Option to receive US university credit. 

Italian Homestay for the duration of the course. (20 days / 19 nights)

Meal plan of three dinners per week with Host Family and three lunches per week at Ganzo Cultural and Gastronomic Association. 

The course meets on the following days and times:

Monday to Thursday from 9:00 to 11:30 (12 contact hours per week)

Mondays 12:00 – 14:30  (weekly) Contemporary Italy lecture series 

Tuesdays 12:00 - 14:30 (weekly) Italian Cinema 

The first Thursday of the session 18:00 PM - 20:00 - one 2-hour cooking and language class. 

Students are expected to complete at least three hours per week in the language lab. 

Application fee and tuition:

All-inclusive cost: € 1.400 (homestay, partial meal plan and tuition)

Please Note: If a student enrolls in multiple sessions they only pay the tuition portion of 

€ 1300.00. The application fee is a one-time payment.
